Many actors of a town or city usually come together in the local theater to put on shows and presentations. This is an opportunity for you as an actor, even if theater is not really your interest. Movie extras are needed in all movies and tv show. Usually those who play extras have a limited amount of lines and play a person in the background or in environment. A good place to find out if their is a need for extras is to go on craigslist for posting in your area. Its worth a look as you might get some work.

Actors Needed for Independent Productions
A lot of independent films with low budgets that don’t have the money to get big named actors will usually hold auditions and casting calls. Find some of these auditions and casting listings on magazines such as Backstage and Variety. Something you should look at though is that their have been cases of exploitations in these types of industry jobs, so always do your research and be cautious. It’s kind of an it or miss at times, you can have a great experience or the experience can truly be horrible.
To reach the top in the show biz industry you must be very focused, persistent, and have the passion to persevere. You must have passion and drive to make it, as you can’t do it on talent alone. Be sure to always searching for actors needed advertisements and you will find the one for you one day.
