Anyone Can Perform This Simple Magic Card Trick

If you are looking for a simple magic trick that even children can do, try magic card tricks. This is the perfect trick for children. The only thing they need to do is to know some maths. This can be done with fantastic results so long as it is practiced over and over again.
What to do first:
First you will need a 52 card deck of cards which is the proper poker deck then you will turn to those who are watching the trick and tell them you are going to split the deck into various bundles, now shuffle the deck. The card at the top of each pile is the card that you begin with it is important to hold the decks facing upwards so you keep track of everything that is going on. Number the piles from one to thirteen, ace being the number one card. How many cards it takes to reach thirteen will depend on the number of the starting card. So, if your first card is an ace you will start by counting one and count cards into a pile up to thirteen. Your initial card is a two, so we will take the next card as number three, then the next as number four and so on until we have counted thirteen cards, it wont matter what the suits are. When the initial card is a ten then the next card will be eleven, then twelve followed by thirteen to complete the pile. Do not count out loud. In this pile you will only find four cards. Place the piles on a bench or table facing up and when you have used them up carefully turn them over so that the cards that were at the bottom are now on the top of the pile.
Here is the finesse:
While you are counting, try to make it look like you are NOT counting the cards but merely making some random piles. Do not put a face card in the beginning of a pile. On the chance that you select a face card as your first card then put in back in the deck saying, “I hate face cards so much” and continue on with the magic. The whole time you are counting out your piles of cards you are looking at the cards face up in your hand. There will not be enough cards to make a whole pile with once you come to the end of the deck. Because the remaining cards will not make a pile of thirteen they have to be put aside and not mixed in with the rest. Just say, “I have enough cards already” and place the rest safely aside. Math is what it is about so be sure you keep track of your counting.
Next piece of the trick:
There will be seven piles of cards in front of you approximately. It does not matter how many piles you have. Now you tell your audience that you would like them to remove piles and hand them to you. As they make their choices, take the remaining cards you set aside and put them back into your hand face down. Add the piles they hand to you to the cards in your hand. When there are six piles you must let them remove three whole piles and when you have seven piles get them to move 4 of them away. The object is to leave three piles. You might tell them they are to leave three piles.
Now the fun part:
Let the people flip over the card on the top of any two piles to reveal what is there. Two of the piles now have up facing cards on the top. Tell them you will now search through the deck to find the number of the card that is on the top of the last pile. Do not tell them you will know the suit, only the number of the card. The magic continues. Without looking like you are counting your cards but merely sifting through the cards in your hand looking at them one by one as if you were searching for the right number. Actually, you are counting the cards. The first thing to do is count ten of the cards. Next read out the number on the starting card that is facing up on one of the piles of cards. Then you will count to the number of the second face up card. So, if you had a two and a three turned over on the two piles you will be counting out the ten cards, then two and then three more cards from the turned over cards.
The big finale:
You are still holding some cards that are left in your hand. You could have ten or one card left it does not matter. Without being suspicious put the final cards down after you have counted them and proclaim, “I think I have your card.” The number of the card I am holding on the top pile is “.” After counting out all of the other cards be sure to say what the remaining cards are. Call it and say it is an Ace when there is just the one card remaining. You will say the card is a two if there are two cards left and so on. Rather than flip over the last card yourself, let the audience member turn it over.
In closing:
It wont fail as long as you have counted everything correctly.
When turning the piles over keep an eye on the first cards on the top of each pile, do not let them be misplaced.
Make sure you start with 52 cards.
This trick is a sure fire winner and guaranteed to impress. The better your acting the more you will impress.
