Easy Card Tricks – XRay Vision Card Trick

I found this cool little post. Quite an ice breaker at parties or other social gatherings.

Ok, let’s learn some easy card tricks. This is a kids magic trick. Why learn something intended for kids? Because kids have more fun than grown ups and we Very should learn from what they do more often.

You will learn a card trick that is named:

The X-Ray Vision Card Trick

You will need a deck of cards. Get it now and accompany along with the steps. YES, get the deck before reading on.It’s essential.

So, you got the deck of cards:

Phase 1. The first thing you do is put all the club cards in the deck in a lowest to highest order. Looking at the bottom the ace of clubs should be the first card you see. Then the two of clubs, then the three etc.

NOTE: you do this beforehand.

Phase 2. Set the scene of the trick and have the audience select a card — this card must NOT be one of the club bottom cards.

ex: “Ok friend name get ready to be amazed with magic. Select a card, no, choose again, you can’t have that one. Hey, you want to be amazed with magic or what?”

TIP: An option that you have to avoid people choosing from among the clubs is to take two thirds of the pack and have your audience member choose from among those. You would then just place it back on top of the deck.

Phase 3. After the audience member has chosen his/her card, have him place it on the top of the deck and start cutting the deck. Cut the deck until there you see one of the club cards on the bottom.
sample: “Ok, now cut the deck. Now you cut the deck. And YOU” (repeat this until you see a club card on the bottom)

TIP: with just a little practice you will find that you can estimate when a club card has gotten to the bottom of the pack. Make sure you don’t draw attention to the fact that you’re looking at the bottom card.

Phase 4. Once you see a club card on the bottom, make a note of it. In our example the club card you will see is the eight of clubs.

sample of what you would say: “So tell me. Do you believe in magic. YES/NO. Using my telekinetic powers I can tell you that your card is the eighth card from the top.”

TIP: while you are saying this you have cassually observed the number of the club card (again in our example this is the 8 of clubs).

Phase 5. Having taken note that the bottom card is the 8 of clubs you start dealing cards from the top of the deck one by one. The 8th one will be the card that the sucker, hmphmphm,  I mean magic recipient has chosen.

sample of what you would say: “Enjoyed that? Let me show you some more magic then.”

If you didn’t understand how this trick works, just follow the steps one by one and actually use a deck of cards. It will get very clear.
