Auditions and casting calls are like second nature to someone trying to make it big in the entertainment industry. Think of it as a process you need to go through to strike it big. If you just want to be an extra in a movie or commercial you’ll need to go through some sort of auditioning process as well.

The fastest way to find auditions is to search for positions on the Internet or through word of mouth. You want to utilize as many resources as you can to get auditions.

Here is a list of up-to-date casting calls or auditions.

Keep in mind that you are a business in itself if you want to brand yourself as an actor or actress. You need to sell yourself to the casting directors and be able to show what you got. It’s important to keep learning and sharpening your skills in the entertainment industry.

Auditions and casting calls are all different so sometimes you may be asked to read some lines while other times you may have to do something else. You may be asked to come up with something on the spot and do a monologue.

Know that no casting directing or auditioning company will ask for money upfront from you. Be sure to come with your own headshot photos so that you don’t get pressured to buying any.

Be sure to bring your ID along with your headshot photographs and resume. On the headshot photo, have your information along with your agent’s info on there as well.
