I’ll tell you the truth behind acting and modeling, keep reading to find out. Acting modeling is a very glamorous industry, but it can be ruthless at times.
You should pick which avenue you want to go in, whether it’s acting or modeling, but going for both at the same time may be more difficult. They both require different skills, so you may be exhausting yourself by going for both.
Models Wanted. See the list here.
Some characteristics a model should have is a clear face, good bone structure in their face and a good attitude. Just those things will help you a lot in the industry. It depends on if you’re doing cat walk modeling or plus size modeling on what your figure should be as a model.
As an actor, you should always strive to improve yourself and take acting classes or voice lessons. These are the first impressions that casting directors see about you.
As an actor/actress or model, you should have a stack of professional headshots that you can hand out. Make sure that you have these photos taken professionally and that they can be accessed easily.

Here is a good tip, hire a talent manager or better yet an agent. An agent won’t charge you unless they find a job for you and then they take a percentage of that – usually 10 percent. You can have the agent scout for jobs while you look online using the link above.
One last tip is that you should develop thick skin as an actor or model because you will be criticized a lot. Do not ever let people get to you and don’t let that criticism seep through because it will really bring you down and it will be hard to get yourself back up.
Good luck with your career in acting and modeling. Remember to stay grounded and be yourself.
